Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>Former member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen says he sees no basis for the fuss around whether he informed the party about his resignation or not.<\/b><\/p>\n

He said he had written to the party, first of all, to withdraw from the process of electing its 2024 flagbearer and had made it clear he was going to inform Ghanaians on his next line of action.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf the General Secretary is lamenting over whether I informed him or not, was there a responsibility or requirement on my part to inform them?\u201d he asked in an exclusive interview on TV3<\/b>\u2018s New Day on Wednesday, September 27.<\/p>\n

Mr Kyerematen was responding to allegations by the party\u2019s General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, that he did not officially inform them about his decision to resign.<\/p>\n

In responding to the resignation by the former party stalwart on Tuesday, September 26, Mr Kodua Frimpong said Mr Kyerematen did not give any hint to even the National Chairman, Stephen Ayesu Ntim, of his decision when they both met after the August 26 Super Delegates Conference.<\/p>\n

He, therefore, described the decision as \u201cpremeditated\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat does that mean to inform the party?\u201d the former Minister wondered.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat else is required administratively? If I am part of a party and I want to exit, the administration requirement is to inform them?\u201d<\/p>\n
