Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>Nestle\u0301 Ghana celebrated International Chef\u2019s Day in partnership with the Chefs Association of Ghana to bring an unforgettable experience to the younger generation.<\/b><\/p>\n

They turned up the heat to cook a thing!<\/p>\n

The Nestle\u0301 professional team in collaboration with a team of over 50 expert chefs from the Chefs Association of Ghana were actively involved in this year\u2019s celebration where they shared their knowledge and expertise with the children from Kaneshie Presbyterian School, on Friday, October 20 in Accra.<\/p>\n

Over 100 children with the support of the chefs engaged in activities to showcase their culinary skills in cooking competitions, games on recipes and cooking demonstration which aimed to make a sizzling impact on the lives of the children by equipping them with the knowledge and skills to embrace healthy eating habits.<\/p>\n

Nestle\u0301 believes in encouraging children to be creative and try out new things; cooking demonstration was one way to showcase this.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the event, Nestle\u0301 Professional Manager Mark Okyere-Mensah highlighted the significance of investing in the next generation of chefs through various culinary programs including workshops, and partnerships with relevant professional groups.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe firmly believe that by nurturing their passion and providing them with a solid foundation, we can help them become exceptional chefs who will shape the future of food.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chef Micheal Quainoo, representing the Chefs Association of Ghana, said: \u201cChefs today are among the actors who shape public opinion and influence the general population.\u201d<\/p>\n

He called on government to equip the technical and vocational educational institutions within the country to encourage more youth to pursue careers within the profession.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s International Chef\u2019s Day celebration, themed \u2018Growing Great Chefs\u2019, aims to ignite the imaginations of children, encouraging them to explore the different types of flavors, textures and cultures found in culinary arts through cooking.<\/p>\n

The event was also to showcase the impact of Nestle\u0301 for Healthier Kids Program and its contribution to nutrition, health and wellness education globally.<\/p>\n

The event was also replicated in some other parts of the country to mark the celebration.<\/p>\n
