{"id":57798,"date":"2023-10-25T14:38:40","date_gmt":"2023-10-25T14:38:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/ghana\/?p=57798"},"modified":"2023-10-25T14:15:36","modified_gmt":"2023-10-25T14:15:36","slug":"fix-the-problems-and-stop-complaining-polo-tells-koopman","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/ghana\/all-news\/fix-the-problems-and-stop-complaining-polo-tells-koopman","title":{"rendered":"Fix the problems and stop complaining \u2013 Polo tells Koopman"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Ghana. <\/strong><\/span><b>Former Hearts of Oak coach, Mohammed Polo has asked current coach, Martin Koopman to find a solution to the club\u2019s recent problems.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The Phobians have won just a game and scored once in their opening 5 games of the Ghana Premier League season.<\/p>\n<p>Koopman recently defended his side\u2019s inability to score goals and said the problem runs through the Black Stars.<\/p>\n<p>Reacting to Koopman\u2019s comments, Poloo said the Dutch international has to find a solution to the club\u2019s woes and questioned the competence of white coaches.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am surprised we Africans still believe these white coaches are still superior to us (black coaches), because we don\u2019t even trust our own, we don\u2019t give the chance to our own.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe is telling Hearts of Oak something because he was signed for two years and can\u2019t be fired, if you do, you will pay a penalty, and he can say whatever he wants.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe has to find the solution, it\u2019s the reason why he was contracted, he started preseason and was scoring plenty of goals and things have changed since the league started, it doesn\u2019t mean it is the end,\u201d he said in an interview with Connect 97.1 FM.<\/p>\n<p>Hearts of Oak placed 12th in the 2022-2023 league season after a poor end to the season.<\/p>\n<p>Poloo believes the club can be relegated if the right things are not done as soon as possible.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom the way things are going, if care is not taken, it might get out of hand.
