Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>The Annual Thanksgiving Service of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) may not have presented the atmosphere participants anticipted.<\/b><\/p>\n

During the event, the General Secretary party chastised some members who have taken up government appointments but are not delivering.<\/p>\n

Justin Kodua Frimpong, during his address to participants indicated that the actions of some persons currently serving under the government could potentially cost the party the next election.<\/p>\n

He has therefore entreated Ministers, Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) and Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives who are fatigued to consider resigning rather than making the party unpopular.<\/p>\n

Pointing out his displeasure with the conduct of some appointees, Mr. Frimpong was explicit on his stance that \u201cif you are tired, resign and leave so the party can retain power.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you are a Minister, a CEO or an MMDCE and you have not been reshuffled and you think you are tired, resign, don\u2019t sabotage the party.\u201d<\/p>\n

The NPP General Secretary also called on President Akufo-Addo to immediately conduct a reshuffle to bring new faces into his government.<\/p>\n

At the thanksgiving service held at the party headquarters, Kodua asserted that appointing new faces is essential to propel the NPP towards achieving its objectives.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is time for some changes in the government so we get some new faces to continue. We believe that if we get new appointments, we will be able to retain power in the next election.\u201d<\/p>\n
