Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>The President of the National House of Chiefs, Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II, has called for issues-based campaigns ahead of the 2024 general elections.<\/b><\/p>\n

He also told politicians to be decent in their campaigns and not to resort to insults or attacks on opponents.<\/p>\n

Addressing a meeting in Kumasi, Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II, said \u201cThe EC, political parties, media, election observers, and electorate should focus on free and fair elections and our campaigns should be based on issues. Campaigning should be decent and should be focused on issues not insults or attacks on opponents.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe EC working with all stakeholders should continue to promote the atmosphere for free, fair and peaceful elections so that losers will accept their loss in good faith.<\/p>\n

\u201cElectoral violence is expensive and should be avoided at all costs. We have only one country. That is Ghana.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ghanaians will be going to the polls on December 7 2024 to elect a new president and Members of Parliament.<\/p>\n
