Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>The flagbearer of the NDC has revealed that his next administration will deliberately create a western industrial enclave that will see to creation of more jobs on the western corridor.<\/b><\/p>\n

Speaking to the chiefs of Awutu Traditional Council in Awutu Breku to climax the end of his Central region tour, the former President gave the firm assurance that he will immediately commission efforts to start a western industrial growth on that stretch.<\/p>\n

The lithium agreement must go to parliament \u2013 Mahama<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you look at our development, it appears all the factories as Kwame Nkrumah started it, are concentrated in the Tema enclave. So when you look at eastern part, Tema, free zones area, and I have just realized that on the left when going to Aflao, a new industrial zone is emerging there. Meaning that the Western side, if it\u2019s not Pambros and one or two businesses, it means no job will come to this side\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo it will be a deliberate policy of ours to bring industrial development to the Western part, because we cannot make all all the factories be concentrated at one place, we need to spread out so that our youth can also get jobs to do at this side of the country\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI have spoken to Gizella Tetteh ( your MP) that we need to start looking for land immediately, so that government will prepare the land before hand, extend water and electricity there. Once we do this, the private sector themselves will come for the land and build pharmaceutical industries, soap production factories, different factories, vegetable cooking factories etc. and so we must immediately prepare for that to happen and this perfectly fits into the 24-hour economy,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

John mahama has been campaigning in the central region, taking suggestions from people on the crafting of the people\u2019s manifesto. He has met with chiefs, students , teachers, market woman and the youth who have expressed confidence in his 24-hour economy policy suggestion.<\/p>\n

On his part, the President of the Awutu Tradition Council lauded the erstwhile Mahama administrations e- block education facilities as the best investments in education across the country.<\/p>\n

Abokuade Agyeman Tettey Otabil III, speaking at a durbar of chiefs at the instance of John Mahama in Awutu Senya says John Mahama must continue his investments in education, making boarding accommodation the new addition .<\/p>\n

The Traditional Council also threw their support behind the 24-hour economy, promising to make available lands to drive industrial growth.<\/p>\n
