Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>The Ministry of the Interior and the Police are collaborating to embark on a nationwide monitoring exercise with particular emphasis on Private Security Organizations, Locksmiths (Key Cutting) and Rubber Stamp and seal operators.<\/b><\/p>\n

The exercise commenced on Wednesday, December 20, 2023.<\/p>\n

According to the Interior Ministry, the exercise forms part of measures to sensitize the public on its services as well as afford opportunities to its stakeholders to streamline their operations.<\/p>\n

The move is also critical to ensure compliance with the laws which constitute the legal basis of the services rendered by the Ministry.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe monitoring exercise would facilitate the streamlining of operations of players within the sector as well as provide an avenue for the Ministry to interface with new and existing clientele and the general public.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn addition, the Ministry would be expanding its publication of Service Providers in Good Standing on its website to include the National dailies and its Social Media handles. This would go a long way to sanitize the operations of the service providers and improve the security consciousness of the general public,\u201d a statement issued by the Ministry said.<\/p>\n

As a Ministry mandated to ensure internal security in the country, it added \u201cwe remain committed to guaranteeing that there is law and order, peace and security to create an enabling environment for businesses to thrive and boost the economy of Ghana.<\/p>\n

\u201cAccordingly, all players within the sector are advised to register or renew their licenses to regularize their operations with the Ministry to avoid sanctions.\u201d<\/p>\n
