Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>The Chief Justice, Gertrude Torkornoo, has urged Ghanaians to help reduce the number of cases in the courts in 2024.<\/b><\/p>\n

This is contained in a message to mark Christmas, which is being celebrated throughout the world today.<\/p>\n

Christmas is an annual Christian festival which commemorates the birth of Jesus Christ. It is observed primarily on December 25 as a religious and cultural celebration.<\/p>\n

Chief Justice Torkornoo used the occasion to call on Ghanaians to \u201c…reduce the nation\u2019s burden of cases in the courts and increase peace in our beloved country.\u201d<\/p>\n

Treat each other fairly in the coming year \u2013 Chief Justice in Christmas message<\/p>\n

She also pleaded with Ghanaians to treat each other fairly.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs we wind down from the year 2023 and gear up to the year 2024, I wish that in our reflections as a nation, we will reflect on the message by the angels that announced the birth of Jesus Christ \u2013 Peace on earth and goodwill to all men. Let us endeavour to give fair treatment to all,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

This is to wish the beautiful people of Ghana, starting from His Excellency President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, to the last baby born in the last few hours, a very Happy Christmas and a restful holiday season.<\/p>\n

Christmas is a good time to remember the most critical event in human history- the birth of God as a human being. John 1:14 states that the word became flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld his glory. Isaiah prophesied in Isaiah 9:6, the following words; for onto us a child is born, to us a son is given and the government shall be on his shoulders and he will be called wonderful counselor, mighty God, everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.<\/p>\n

As we wind down from the year 2023 and gear up to the year 2024, I wish that in our reflections as a nation, we will reflect on the message by the angels that announced the birth of Jesus Christ \u2013 Peace on earth and goodwill to all men. Let us endeavour to give fair treatment to all, and reduce the nation\u2019s burden of cases in the courts and increase peace in our beloved country through this.<\/p>\n
