Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>The Director of Research at the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA), Dr John Kwakye has said the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) owe Ghanaians an apology for the current state of the country\u2019s economy.<\/b><\/p>\n

In his view, both parties have contributed to the current \u2018sordid state\u2019 of the economy.<\/p>\n

He told Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and Former President John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearers of the NPP and NDC respectively, to announce how differently they are going to be in turning around the fortunes of the economy.<\/p>\n

\u201cNPP and NDC must apologize to Ghanaians for bringing the country, once the shining star of Africa, to its current sordid state. Their presidential candidates should tell us what they are going to do differently to turn the economy around. Otherwise, they don\u2019t deserve our mandate<\/p>\n

\u201cNPP and NDC presidential candidates must first admit their party failures in the past 32 years and tell Ghanaians what they are going to do differently to turn this country around. Otherwise, they should be rejected by the electorate,\u201d he wrote on hisX platform.<\/p>\n

He added \u201cNPP and NDC have woefully failed Ghana over the past 32 years. Their presidential candidates should openly admit the NPP and NDC failings and tell us what they are going to do differently. Otherwise, the electorate should reject them.\u201d<\/p>\n
