Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>The opposition People\u2019s National Convention (PNC) is getting ready for internal elections ahead of this year\u2019s general elections.<\/b><\/p>\n

The party says it will start with regional elections from Monday, January 15 up to presidential primaries on Sunday, March 24.<\/p>\n

\u201cProspective candidates who are eligible to contest in these elections may obtain their nomination forms<\/p>\n

from the regional and national offices on January 4th, 2024,\u201d the party said in a statement issued by General Secretary Janet Asana Nabla on Tuesday, January 2.<\/p>\n

Forms for the regional elections are going for GH\u00a2200 while those for national elections are going for GH\u00a2500.<\/p>\n

Presidential aspirants have to pay GH\u00a22,000 for the the nomination forms.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe fee for the presidential candidature is GH\u00a2100,000.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor the national chairperson, the fee is GH\u00a235,000. The Vice Chairperson and General Secretary will each pay GH\u00a225,000, while the National Organizer aspirants will pay GH\u00a215,000.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe National Women\u2019s Organizer, National Treasurer, and National Youth Organizer aspirants will each pay GH\u00a210,000. Deputy positions\u2019 aspirants in the national elections will need to pay GH\u00a25,000 each.\u201d<\/p>\n

Women aspirants are expected to pay half of all the fees.<\/p>\n
