Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has touted the achievement of the free Senior High School (Free SHS) policy. <\/b><\/p>\n

He says the policy has ensured unprecedented access to free secondary education.<\/p>\n

Dr Bawumia said this as the Guest Speaker at the maiden edition of the Annual Congress of Mamprugu Zaabuni Youth for Development in Walewale Sunday.<\/p>\n

He commended the brains behind the group, and the youth of Mamprugu, for establishing \u2018such a progressive association, which is aimed at fostering unity and promoting development\u2019.<\/p>\n

In a Facebook post after the address, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) said \u201cOur government has always encouraged and supported the development objectives of such youth associations across the country, and we will continue to do that, in our quest to ensure inclusive development in every part of the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cI seized the opportunity to share with the Congress, government\u2019s development projects in the area, as well as many national interventions, including our flagship policy on education, Free SHS, which has ensured unprecedented access to free secondary education, roads, sports facilities, jobs for the youth, digital initiatives that have increased access to government services, creation of new regions and associated infrastructure, zipline drone delivery for medicines, construction of new court buildings.\u201d<\/p>\n
