The dream led to the creation of a political party.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Reacting to the cancellation of the Convention Event that his foundation, The New African Foundation was organizing, he expressed his disappointment in the cancellation of the event that was occasioned by an order from the presidency after indicating that \u201cDiscussions were made with the Director of Diaspora Affairs about the Convention.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For now, I am the only one funding the New Force and the New Africa Foundation \u2013 Presidential Aspirant, Nana Kwame Bediako.#TV3NewDay pic.twitter.com\/4VHb9DL8Xz<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 #TV3GH (@tv3_ghana) January 11, 2024<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe foreign events are always accepted but the local events are always unconsidered,\u201d Nana Kwame Bediako noted.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, he said he was not one to be scared of. He said he is a man with a good purpose, with a great vision, and has a plan for this nation.<\/p>\n<p>He made these comments after revealing his identity as the man in the mask, embarking on \u2018The New Force\u2019 campaign.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing journalists in Accra on Sunday, January 7 after the Convention Event that his foundation, The New African Foundation, was organizing was canceled by an order from the presidency, he said he would have taken his time to tell Ghanaians about the face behind the mask but chose to do so now due to the controversies that surrounded the Convention event.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am nothing to be scared of. I came to you as your salvation. I don\u2019t invest in myself alone. I am investing in you,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe need to educate. We need to uplift our children. We need to voice out to them. You are about to find out about this man in the mask. Because I never spoke a word, you were looking for me. I didn\u2019t tell you whether I am into politics, whether I am an evangelist, whether I am a conventionist or a revolutionist. After this day, you will have to wait for me to share my policies and my visions with you.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd if I\u2019m the reason why the country or the government is not happy about these great voices coming to educate not only Ghana but also Africa, then I take this moment to sacrifice myself, to unveil myself, because I have much respect for these great leaders beside me. I would have taken my own time to tell you that I am. But for this very moment, I am sacrificing myself to let you know that I\u2019m that man.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut I\u2019m that man with a good purpose, with a great vision. I have a plan, and I have a vision for this nation. And not only for this nation, I have it for Africa too. But I know Africa is the next biggest thing because out of all the continents that have been developed in this world, there is only one continent that is not developed and I am sent to do that,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Presidency explained why the organizers of pan-African event, were told to cancel it a few hours before the start on Sunday, January 7.<\/p>\n<p>The Diaspora Affairs Directorate at the Office of the President said it was necessitated by an \u201cunforeseen\u201d state event scheduled to take place at the same venue.<\/p>\n<p>In a press release, Dr Fynn stated, \u201cWe write to revoke immediately the permission granted per our letter No.OP\/PH\/02 dated November 11, 2024, which approved your request to use the Black Star Square for the above event.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis decision has been necessitated by an unforeseen State Event scheduled to take place at the venue.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Following the cancellation, the organizers said the government directed them to call off the event. They further described the directive to cancel it as shocking after claiming that the government had given them permission in November 2023.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe regret to inform you that the Government has cancelled the above Pan African Event which was to take place today at the Independence Square in Accra, Ghana. All the special guests have arrived and thousands of people have come from all over Ghana as well as around the globe for this historic event. We have just been informed of the cancellation of this event a couple of hours before its commencement. This event was approved by the government in November 2023.
