Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has donated, once again, to support the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) Awards.<\/b><\/p>\n

Dr Bawumia presented an amount of GH\u00a250,000 to support the 48th edition of the Awards.<\/p>\n

Out of his support, GH\u00a210,000 each will be presented to the Female Footballer of the Year, as well as the Sports Journalist of the Year.<\/p>\n

The Vice President as part of his broader support for the Awards, has, since 2022 adopted the two award categories and winners have been receiving cash prizes from him, in appreciation of female footballers and sports journalists.<\/p>\n

Outstanding Ghanaian sportsmen and women for the year 2023, will be honoured tonight, Friday, January 12, at the 48th edition.<\/p>\n

Dr. Bawumia is expected to grace tonight’s 48th edition as the Guest of Honour.<\/p>\n
