Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>The leader of the New Force movement, Nana Kwame Bediako, widely known as Cheddar, has alleged that his interview with the nation’s broadcaster, Ghana Television (GTV), was cancelled at the last minute based on \u2018order from above’.<\/b><\/p>\n

The business mogul, on January 7, 2024, unveiled himself as the mystery man behind the mask and declared his intention to contest for the highest office of the presidency in the December elections. This followed the cancellation of the Convention event that his foundation, The New African Foundation, organised.<\/p>\n

The 42-year-old successful businessman and presidential hopeful has been touring media houses, propagating his ideas and vision for the country, especially for the youth.<\/p>\n

In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Mr. Bediako shared a flyer in the late hours of Tuesday, January 16, ahead of the interview, which was slated for today [January 17, 2024].<\/p>\n

It is, however, unclear the reason behind such a last-minute decision to abort the interview by the national broadcaster.<\/p>\n

It would be recalled that the same \u2018order from above’ led to the cancellation of The Convention, a pan-African gathering scheduled for January 7, 2024, at the Black Stars Square in Accra, after the organisers had secured the venue in November 2023.<\/p>\n

According to the Diaspora Affairs Directorate at the Office of the President, it was necessitated by an \u201cunforeseen\u201d state event scheduled to take place at the same venue.<\/p>\n

In a press release, Dr. Fynn stated, \u201cWe write to revoke immediately the permission granted per our letter No.OP\/PH\/02 dated November 11, 2024, which approved your request to use the Black Star Square for the above event.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis decision has been necessitated by an unforeseen State event scheduled to take place at the venue.\u201d<\/p>\n
