{"id":6482,"date":"2019-11-15T12:03:53","date_gmt":"2019-11-15T12:03:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.com\/ghana\/?p=6482"},"modified":"2019-11-15T12:03:53","modified_gmt":"2019-11-15T12:03:53","slug":"finance-minister-urges-ndc-to-come-for-tutorials-on-loan-usage","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/ghana\/all-news\/finance-minister-urges-ndc-to-come-for-tutorials-on-loan-usage","title":{"rendered":"Finance Minister urges NDC to come for Tutorials on loan usage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta says the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) can come for tutorials on what the incumbent government is using loans for in Ghana.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The comment of Mr Ofori-Atta follows an accusation by the Minority in Parliament that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration has borrowed huge sums of money but has no tangible infrastructural project to show for.<\/p>\n<p>To Mr Ofori-Atta, everything the Akufo-Addo-led government is doing is very transparent, therefore, he does not understand why people still ask questions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNDC can come for tutorials on what the loans have been used for because I do not get the NDC in their style of politicking and governance in Ghana,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking in an interview on Asempa FM\u2019s Ekosii Sen show after the 2020 budget presentation, Mr Ofori-Atta said the incumbent government is investing in the future of Ghana.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe won\u2019t borrow if we don\u2019t need it.
