President Nana Akufo-Addo has told Ghanaians that falsehood is never part of his agenda but commitment to developing the country.<\/strong><\/p>\n

President Akufo-Addo, who attended a durbar of chiefs and people of Ga West, Ga North and Ga Central on Monday, 2 December 2019, as part of his three-day working visit to various parts of the Greater Accra Region, told the gathering that: \u201cEverything I said I will do I am doing. I didn\u2019t come to lie to anyone in Ghana. That is not the reason why I came but to work and transform the country with the help of my appointees\u201d.<\/p>\n

He told the residents that Accra will have its fair share of the construction of roads as the Finance Minister announced to Parliament in the 2020 budget.<\/p>\n

He outlined that: \u201cIn 2020, all the things we need to do for the citizens to have comfort will be done. We are going to make sure inner-city roads, main trunk roads [are constructed]\u201d.<\/p>\n

The President admitted that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government \u201ccan\u2019t do everything but we will do what is significant so that everyone will witness that progress is coming back to Ghana\u201d<\/p>\n

The President\u2019s tour is also meant to seek and collate the needs and development inputs from residents.<\/p>\n

During the tour, the President is expected to inspect ongoing works, open completed projects, and cut the sod for new projects to commence.<\/p>\n

He charged the residents to commit their unflinching support for the government to achieve its mandate successfully.<\/p>\n

Day two of the President\u2019s tour will begin in Odododiodio, where he will interact with and distribute outboard motors to the fisherfolk at a durbar in Ga Mashie. He will also walk through Kantamanto to Makola and Okaishie to meet with the membership of the Ghana Union Traders Association and the Traders Union. At Old Fadama, the President will cut the sod for the construction of a hostel for Kayayei, in fulfilment of a manifesto pledge.<\/p>\n

At Ablekuma South, President Akufo-Addo will interact with tutors and students of St. Mary’s SHS, and inspect of ongoing works under the Senior High School Intervention Project. He will also inspect the Odawna Sahara Storm Drain Project, and cut the sod for the construction of a Science-based Senior High School near the Weija Treatment Plant in the Weija-Gbawe Constituency to end the second day of the tour.<\/p>\n

The final day of the tour will begin with an inspection of the Railway Track Construction from Afienya to Ashaiman. He will cut the sod for the construction of a Sea Defense Project at Prampram, in the Ningo-Prampram constituency, and proceed to Tema East where he will meet and interact with clearing agents at the Tema Harbour, and also visit the workshop for retrofitting and repairing of coaches in the Tema West constituency.<\/p>\n

At Teshie, President Akufo-Addo will inspect the progress of work on the LEKMA road, and pay a courtesy call on the La Traditional Council to commiserate with them on the demise of the late La Mantse.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
