Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, Justin Kodua Frimpong has announced the setting up of Reconciliation Committees in the 16 regions to help assuage any pent-up feelings that its rank and file may be harbouring.<\/b><\/p>\n

The party in the last six months, has held various activities such as, presidential primaries, primaries in orphan constituencies and recently, primaries in constituencies with incumbent MPs.<\/p>\n

A press release dated February 1 and signed by Mr Kodua said, \u201cThe leadership of the New Patriotic Party, in consultation with the respective Regional Executive Committees, has constituted regional reconciliation committees. These committees are tasked with fostering unity and reconciliation within the party in every constituency in their respective regions.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe committees are further tasked with resolving any issues that have emanated from all party activities or events, including but not limited to polling station elections, constituency elections, regional elections, national elections, presidential elections, and parliamentary elections,\u201d the release explained.<\/p>\n
