Getafe filed a formal complaint, prompting the league to take action and act on \u201chard evidence.\u201d<\/p>\n

The incident occurred after an encounter where Bellingham tackled Greenwood in Real Madrid\u2019s 2-0 victory. A video clip of the incident quickly gained traction on social media, leading to heightened scrutiny.<\/p>\n

The nature of the alleged comment and the recipient remain unclear at this point. In response to Getafe\u2019s formal complaint, La Liga released a statement on Friday. \u201cAs per standard procedure in such cases, the La Liga match director has requested an expert lip-reading report to investigate the matter and act based on hard evidence,\u201d part od the statement said<\/p>\n

Mason Greenwood, who is on a season-long loan from Manchester United since September, is at the center of the controversy. The 22-year-old forward has faced scrutiny earlier in his career, with Manchester United announcing his departure by mutual agreement. In August, after a six-month internal investigation into his conduct, the club took the decision. Charges against Greenwood, including attempted rape and assault, were dropped in February.<\/p>\n

Greenwood, contracted with Manchester United until 2025, has been in good form, scoring six goals in 21 appearances for Getafe this season.<\/p>\n

Jude Bellingham joined Real Madrid in the summer for a significant transfer fee of 103 million euros (\u00a388.5 million). He has established himself as a key player for Los Blancos, contributing 18 goals in 27 appearances.<\/p>\n
