Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has commended President Akufo-Addo for the ministerial reshuffle announced on February 14, 2024.<\/b><\/p>\n

The leadership of the NPP said the shakeup in government is a bold decision.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe leadership is pleased to express gratitude and appreciation to the President for his decisive government reshuffle, which includes the appointment of new Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs), Ministers, and Deputy Ministers.\u201d<\/p>\n

This is contained in a press release dated February 14, and signed by the General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong.<\/p>\n

Bagbin refers Akufo-Addo\u2019s new ministerial nominees to Appointment Committee of Parliament<\/p>\n

\u201cThe decision to reshuffle underscores the President\u2019s commitment to fostering progress and revitalizing our administration. The NPP continues to express profound appreciation for the dedication and service of those departing from their roles, urging them to continue supporting the government and the party in our collective pursuit of national development,\u201d Mr Kodua stated.<\/p>\n

He urged the newly appointed members of government to bring in their A-game.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo the incoming appointees, we extend our congratulation message and warmest wishes. As they assume new responsibilities, we urge them to bring forth innovative ideas and unwavering dedication to serve the good people of Ghana.<\/p>\n

Their contributions would be instrumental in propelling our party and government to a historic victory in the upcoming 2024 general elections,\u201d the release noted.<\/p>\n

\u201cPresident Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has once again demonstrated his responsiveness to the needs of the nation, affirming his commitment to governance that listens and acts in the best interests of the people.<\/p>\n

Akufo-Addo reshuffles his ministers; Ofori-Atta removed, Oppong Nkrumah, Asenso-Boakye reassigned<\/p>\n

Let us forge ahead together with unity, determination, and a shared vision for a brighter future for all. It is indeed possible to break the eight for the prosperity of our dear country and its people,\u201d Mr Kodua said.<\/p>\n

It would be recalled that earlier in the day, President Nana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo relieved Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta of his portfolio in government with immediate effect.<\/p>\n

The other ministers who have also been reshuffled include; Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Works and Housing Minister Francis Asenso Boakye, Kwaku Agyemang Manu, Health, Kwasi Amoako Attah, Roads and Highways, Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation Hon. Dr. Kwaku Afriyie, Gender, Children and Social Protection Hon. Lariba Abudu, Local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Development Hon. Dan Botwe, Sanitation and Water Resources Hon. Freda Prempeh, Tourism, Arts and Culture Ibrahim Mohammed Awal, Greater Accra Region Hon. Henry Quartey, Oti Region Mr. Joseph Makubu.<\/p>\n

This was announced by the Director of Communications at the Presidency Eugene Arhin on Wednesday, February 14.<\/p>\n
