Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>Deputy Director of Communication for the Movement for Change, Courage Nobi, has articulated a compelling case for the suitability of Alan Kyerematen for the presidencyof Ghana.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to him, age holds little significance compared to one\u2019s demonstrated abilities and track record in both private and public service. He was answering a question on the possibility age being a disadvantage for his presidential candidate.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn politics age is nothing. What is important is what is within you that you have demonstrated in public service, so what has been your conduct in private service and in public service?\u201d he asked.<\/p>\n

In an interview with Johnnie Hughes on the 3FM Sunrise Morning Show on February 19th, he lauded Mr Kyerematen\u2019s impeccable reputation in both spheres, citing his inclusion among the Times 100 leaders to watch in 1994 and his role in developing Empritech, a venture that facilitated job creation within companies.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn 1994 he was listed among the Times 100 leaders to watch, leaders for the millenniums, he developed Empritech which empowered companies to create employment\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

Drawing comparisons between Kyerematen and other political figures, Nobi asserted, \u201cWhat he has demonstrated puts him miles ahead of both President Mahama and Alhaji Bawumia in terms of suitability for the presidency of this nation.\u201d<\/p>\n

He argued that while President Mahama had served as both vice president and president, and Bawumia had four years as vice president, Kyerematen\u2019s accomplishments surpassed theirs.<\/p>\n

He criticized the tendency to downplay the significance of positions like vice president by Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, stressing that such roles carry immense responsibility and should not be disregarded when evaluating a candidate\u2019s suitability for higher office.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou cannot debase the position simply because you want to run away from responsibility. The fact that you have an ambition doesn\u2019t mean that you declaw or remove the authority, the responsibility that is put in a position and was part of the team\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Referring to President Akufo-Addo\u2019s assertion that he was running the economy with the brain of Alhaji Bawumia, Nobi implied that it was time for a new approach.<\/p>\n

He argued that crisis such as the COVID-19 pandemic and geopolitical tensions should inspire innovative leadership rather than excuse.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen we talk about the economy of this country today, immediately, we are reminded that there was COVID, there was Russia Ukraine, there was this. It is in times of crisis that we see the best of people\u201d.<\/p>\n

Nobi advocated for Kyerematen\u2019s candidacy, describing him as a visionary leader capable of steering Ghana towards prosperity.<\/p>\n
