Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>Hearts of Oak board chairman Togbe Afede XIV has expressed disappointment towards a section of the club\u2019s supporters who organised a protest against the board earlier this week.<\/b><\/p>\n

The fans took to the streets on Monday to express their dissatisfaction with the board\u2019s management of the club, specifically citing concerns about the team\u2019s poor performance on the field.<\/p>\n

The club is currently ranked 11th in the Ghana Premier League and was eliminated from the MTN FA Cup, raising the possibility of a trophyless season.<\/p>\n

In response to the protest, Togbe Afede highlighted the various infrastructure improvements made during his tenure, querying the motives behind the demonstration.<\/p>\n

During a tour of the club\u2019s Phobia House on Tuesday, he posed the question, \u201cWhat do they want? What do they want?\u201d before answering himself, \u201cWhat do they want that we haven\u2019t done? We\u2019ve done everything. After all this, the only thing that Hearts doesn\u2019t have is a stadium.\u201d<\/p>\n

Togbe emphasised that the club is superior to its peers, stating, \u201cWe are streets ahead of all our counterparts. I would even say that we will come out as one of the very best in the whole of the subregion.\u201d<\/p>\n

On-field success has been limited during his decade-long tenure, with the club achieving only one league title and two FA Cups.<\/p>\n

Hearts of Oak are set to face Real Tamale United this weekend as the league returns for the second round.<\/p>\n
