Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>The Parliamentary Candidate for Essikando Ketan Constituency, Charles Bissue has alleged that Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyabeng and investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas, conspired to tarnish his reputation.<\/b><\/p>\n

Mr Bissue, a former secretary to the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining, expressed scepticism about Kissi Agyabeng\u2019s suitability for his role, questioning both the integrity of the Special Prosecutor and the methods employed by Anas.<\/p>\n

\u201cKissi Agyabeng is friends with Anas. Kissi Agyabeng led and directed Anas in taking the video that tried to implicate me, and I am not scared about anything because it\u2019s a lie,\u201d Bissue stated firmly during an interview with Nana Yaa Brefo on Onua FM on February 26.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy would you come to somebody\u2019s office, take a video and adulterate it?<\/p>\n

\u201cThere were cameras present, Let Anas present the original videos he claims he took from my office,<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd what Anas has done in this country, whoever supports him is equally dishonest because his videos are false, I have said it countless times.<\/p>\n

\u201cEven when it takes 100 years, I will strive and fight for the truth to come out, there is nothing on the face of the Earth about the video to implicate me.<\/p>\n

\u201cA lot of people have fallen victim to Anas, who makes videos and tarnishes the images and reputation of people, let\u2019s ask ourselves, what does it benefit Anas to do these,\u201d he quizzed.<\/p>\n

He further criticized Anas for what he described as a pattern of damaging individuals\u2019 lives through manipulated expose\u0301s, branding him as \u201cevil\u201d and questioning the motives behind his actions.<\/p>\n

Bissue\u2019s allegations stem from the fallout of an investigative documentary titled \u201cGalamsey Fraud Part I\u201d by Tiger Eye P.I., which implicated him in allegations of corruption during his tenure with the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining.<\/p>\n

Expressing doubt over the investigative journalist\u2019s intentions, Bissue raised concerns about the non-release of the documentary\u2019s second part, insinuating financial motivations behind Anas\u2019s actions.<\/p>\n

As Bissue continues to contest the allegations leveled against him, the controversy surrounding the \u201cGalamsey Fraud\u201d documentary persists, underscoring the complexity of the issues surrounding illegal mining in Ghana.<\/p>\n
