Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>The Ministerial reshuffle done recently, especially the removal of Ken Ofori-Atta as Finance Minister will not affect the government\u2019s commitment to implementing the programme with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), President Akufo-Addo has said.<\/b><\/p>\n

Mr Akufo-Addo said the government is committed to ensuring that the program is implemented to the end.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Reshuffle will not affect the government\u2019s commitment to implementing the programme with the IMF,\u201d he said during the delivery of the State of the Nation address in parliament on Tuesday, February 27.<\/p>\n

Mr Akufo-Addo replaced Ofori-Atta with Dr Mahammed Amin Adam as the substantive Finance Minister in the reshuffle done on February 14.<\/p>\n

Following his removal, Mr Ofori-Atta told the staff of the Ministry to support the new minister Dr Mohammed Amin Adam.<\/p>\n

Mr Ofori-Atta described Dr Amin Adam as a smart, humble and inclusive leader.<\/p>\n

In a statement, he said \u201cThe future is here with us as we are blessed with a new leader, Dr Mohammed Amin Adam, who replaced the venerable Charles Adu Boahen and has been with us through some of the most difficult times. Let us all circle the wagons and ensure a blazing success for his stewardship.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe all know him as a smart, humble and inclusive leader. Let me state with all humility that nothing would honour me and the \u2018Office of the Minister\u2019 more than for you to work with renewed diligence to guide Hon. Amin and our nation to the successful execution of the IMF-ECF programme to promote economic growth and transformation.<\/p>\n

Ofori statement<\/p>\n

\u201cOnce again, I thank you for your tireless service and commitment to excellence. It has been my utmost honour and a rare privilege to serve alongside each, and every one of you. I pray that you continue to be resolute, dedicated, unwavering and committed to the work of the Republic and care for the finances of the State.\u201d<\/p>\n
