Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>Jambo Spaces, a dynamic organisation dedicated to fostering innovation and community empowerment, and FTF Ghana, a non-profit organisation committed to unlocking children\u2019s potential, have launched a community-based project, Click4Change, to train children in ICT in Labadi, a suburb of Accra.<\/b><\/p>\n

Click4Change aims to empower some selected schoolchildren in the Labadi vicinity to unlock their inherent potential as far as IT education is concerned.<\/p>\n

The first cohort for the maiden project, according to the firms, will have 20 children from La Wireless and La Nativity schools. The training will last for one month.<\/p>\n

\u201cClick4Change is taking these children beneficiaries on a journey of discovery, delving into courses covering Microsoft Office tools, Google Work tools, and the art of public speaking,\u201d the organisers said in a statement.<\/p>\n

Also, the firms are hopeful that the project will not just provide these children with IT skills but also shape their thinking process in professing ideas for solving real-world problems.<\/p>\n

\u201cMore than just technical skills, Click4Change aims to shape the thought process of these budding minds, equipping them with the digital fluency needed to thrive in the modern world.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe impact of Click4Change extends far beyond the classroom walls, as it fosters a sense of belonging, confidence, and self-belief among the children. Witnessing their newfound abilities to translate thoughts into digital creations fills the air with palpable excitement and joy, as dreams begin to take flight on the wings of possibility,\u201d the statement emphasised.<\/p>\n

Bernard Sokpe, the co-founder of Jambo Spaces, noted on his part that the organisers \u201cenvision a future where every child in the Labadi community has access to the transformative power of education and technology\u201d.<\/p>\n

He continued by saying, \u201cPlans are underway to establish a dedicated Click4Change computer lab for the children to continue their learning journey long after the program concludes\u201d.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, some notable brands have partnered with the organisers to ensure the success of the project.<\/p>\n

KFC, Twellium Industries, Nu Lambda Sigma, MyRunway Group, and Valerie Cares have joined hands with Jambo Spaces, providing meals, refreshments, stationery supplies, and transportation for the children.<\/p>\n

This partnership, according to the organisers, is to \u201censure that no obstacle stands\u201d in the way of the beneficiaries in their \u201cpursuit of knowledge and empowerment\u201d.<\/p>\n

Moreover, to ensure Click4Change grows beyond just the first edition, Jambo Spaces extended a heartfelt call to volunteers who want to support the initiative in any way by reaching out to info@jambospaces.com.<\/p>\n
