Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>Special Aide to former President John Dramani Mahama, Joyce Bawa Mogtari has shed light on the internal dynamics of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) before the flagbearer announced his running mate for the upcoming election.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to her, people within the NDC party are very enthusiastic and Mahama is going to make a good decision on who he announces as his running mate. \u201cJohn Mahama\u2019s choice will be an excellent one, one made for the good people of Ghana and one who is pleasing unto the lord\u201d.<\/p>\n

She said in an interview with Johnnie Hughes and Helen Appiah-Ampofo on 3FM Sunrise Morning Show on March 7.<\/p>\n

Madam Mogtari acknowledged the natural pressure and lobbying inherent in the nomination process, stating, \u201cThere will sometimes be some level of pressure. There\u2019s some lobbying going on, naturally there will be various schools of thought.\u201d<\/p>\n

She emphasized that discussions were ongoing between Mahama and the party\u2019s elders, reflecting the inclusive and consultative approach within the NDC.<\/p>\n

The Special Aide highlighted the enthusiasm within the party, noting, \u201cThe NDC is a very attractive party. People within the party are very enthusiastic.\u201d<\/p>\n

She underscored the importance of support and unity within the party, urging Ghanaians to rally behind the eventual nominee. \u201cWhen Mr. Mahama finally finishes announcing, all I ask people of Ghana is to give us your prayers, to give us your support, and to support the candidate, the nominee in particular,\u201d she stated.<\/p>\n

She emphasized the need for a paradigm shift in Ghana\u2019s idea of leadership, urging for leaders who are genuine, humble, and respectful of the populace.<\/p>\n

Madam Mogtari expressed confidence in the nomination process and reassured Ghanaians that the eventual nominee would embody the qualities necessary to lead the country forward. \u201cIt will certainly not be a nominee who would come with a hymn book of stories and in sin,\u201d she remarked, highlighting the importance of sincerity and capability in leadership.<\/p>\n
