Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>Former Kumasi Mayor Kojo Bonsu has congratulated Professor Naana Opoku-Agyemang on her selection as the running mate to former President John Mahama for the 2024 presidential election.<\/b><\/p>\n

Professor Opoku-Agyemang was named as the running mate on Thursday, as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) seeks to regain power. She previously served as the running mate for Mahama in the 2020 presidential election.<\/p>\n

In a statement, Bonsu praised Professor Opoku-Agyemang\u2019s hard work, determination, and commitment to rescuing the nation.<\/p>\n

The former GOIL Board Chair said, \u201cI wish to extend my warmest congratulations to the venerable Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang on being named as the running mate to H.E John Dramani Mahama ahead of the 2024 election.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is indeed a testament to her hard work, determination, and sheer grit over the years to help rescue this nation and H.E JDM\u2019s firm belief that Prof. will best complement his ticket to clinch victory at the December 7 polls.\u201d<\/p>\n

The statement added, \u201cI equally believe that Prof. will make history by becoming the first female Vice President of Ghana and has unparalleled credentials and capacity to help H.E JDM restore this nation unto the path of progress and development.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wish to call on all members of the NDC fraternity to embrace our RM, put our shoulders to the wheels, and push along as we work together for the national restoration agenda, and everyone must be involved.<\/p>\n

\u201cTogether, by the grace of Almighty God, we shall emerge victorious at the 2024 general elections and thereby restore the lost glories of our beloved country, Ghana.\u201d<\/p>\n
