Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>Ghana bounced back from their opening draw in the African Games men\u2019s football tournament with a convincing 3-1 win over Gambia on Tuesday night at the Accra Sports Stadium.<\/b><\/p>\n

This victory has revived their hopes of reaching the semifinals.<\/p>\n

In their first game against Congo, Ghana dominated play but failed to convert several scoring opportunities. However, they were much more clinical against Gambia, converting three of their many chances.<\/p>\n

With this win, Ghana now lead Group A with four points, while Congo and Benin have two points each after drawing their match. Gambia remain at the bottom with only one point.<\/p>\n

While the group is still wide open, Ghana look to be gaining momentum and will be confident of qualifying for the next round.<\/p>\n

Coach Desmond Ofei\u2019s team put in an impressive performance, taking the lead just 12 minutes into the game through Musibau Aziz\u2019s goal.<\/p>\n

They continued to dominate and scored twice more in the second half, with Abdul Aziz Issah doubling their lead four minutes after halftime and Jerry Afriyie sealing the victory with a stoppage-time goal.<\/p>\n

Gambia did manage to score a consolation goal through Ebrimah Ceesay in the 83rd minute, but it was too little, too late. Despite missing a penalty in the 75th minute, Ghana remained in control throughout the match.<\/p>\n
