{"id":68818,"date":"2024-03-16T06:56:46","date_gmt":"2024-03-16T06:56:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/ghana\/?p=68818"},"modified":"2024-03-16T06:39:24","modified_gmt":"2024-03-16T06:39:24","slug":"banks-assure-to-partner-service-providers-to-ensure-quick-resolution-to-normal-business","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/ghana\/all-news\/banks-assure-to-partner-service-providers-to-ensure-quick-resolution-to-normal-business","title":{"rendered":"Banks assure to partner service providers to ensure quick resolution to normal business"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Ghana. <\/strong><\/span><b>Banks in Ghana have apologised to their customers and all stakeholders for the dusyrption in internet banking service following the cuts in internet service.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>A statement signed by the Association\u2019s Chief Executive, John Awuah, the internet breakdown has affected service delivery, particularly online banking and services delivered through digital channels.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInformation we have received from the National Communication Authority (NCA) and other service providers of the banking industry suggest that there has been service disruption affecting multiple undersea cables responsible for carrying international internet traffic resulting in significant degradation in internet services,\u201d portions of the statement read.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Awuah on behalf of the banks apologised for the inconvenience caused adding that \u201cWe will continue to work with our partner internet providers to ensure expedited resolution to normal business and will continue to update you on further developments.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Regarding the internet disruptions, the National Communications Authority (NCA) has said it was monitoring developments regarding an undersea cable disruption that has affected mobile and fixed data networks across the country.<\/p>\n<p>The Authority, in a statement, said, \u201cThe disruptions affecting multiple undersea cables responsible for carrying international traffic have occurred in Senegal and Cote d\u2019Ivoire and with some disruptions in Portugal. This has led to a significant degradation of data services across the country.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is important to note that the Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) are working around the clock to restore full services.
