Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>Former President John Dramani Mahama has urged all Ghanaians to participate in the upcoming voter registration exercise.<\/b><\/p>\n

The Electoral Commission (EC) set May 7 to start voter registration ahead of the 2024 general elections.<\/p>\n

Mr Mahama therefore urged all eligible individuals to register and get their cards ready to be able to vote in the polls.<\/p>\n

\u201cI urge everyone to ready his or her voter ID card. For the youth who recently turned 18, kindly note that from May, there will be a registration exercise. I encourage you to participate in it using your Ghana Card,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is seeking to win this year\u2019s elections.<\/p>\n

He has stated that the 24-hour economy proposal that he made will be an easy way to increase the vacancies for employment generation.<\/p>\n

The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) said that he would outdoor the policy and unveil further details before assuming office.<\/p>\n

He said this while addressing members of the Oti Regional House of Chiefs, on Monday, March 18.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is an easy way to increase the vacancies for employment generation while we add on more avenues. It doesn\u2019t mean that that is the only strategy for employment.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will outdoor it before we come into government and when we come into government we will hit the ground running with it. As I said it is not going to be compulsory. If you want to join, you join,\u201d Mr Mahama said.<\/p>\n
