An era where registration, documentation, payments, revenue collection, public consultations, citizens identification, among other key business activities are made easier and faster leveraging the power of digital technologies\u201d he said.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>This, Dr. Osei Amoako indicated, has contributed to a decline in corruption and significant reduction in institutional bureaucracy.<\/p>\n<p>The Chamber also acknowledged the efforts of government in the past 7 years in ensuring sustainable economic growth and development, especially during the period COVID-19 pandemic, and the Russia-Ukraine war when the economy was hard hit.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese efforts have contributed to significant decline in inflation from a record high of 54.1 percent in December 2022 to 23.2 percent in February 2024\u201d Dr. Osei Amoako stated.<\/p>\n<p>It could be recalled that at the delivery of his vision for Ghana event which was held on the campus of the University of Professional Studies, Accra, in February this year, Vice President Bawumia outlined a number of policy initiatives to formalize the Ghanaian economy further and that included intensified efforts in digitization which will also encapsulate digitalizing the tax system in the country.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/ghana\">Ghana<\/a> Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Ghana.
