Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced that it has been able to attain a stable national power supply. <\/b><\/p>\n

This is contained in an announcement dated March 29, 2024.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Electricity Company of Ghana wishes to inform our cherished customers and the general public that we have a stable national power supply (stable national grid),\u201d a portion of the announcement reads.<\/p>\n

The power distribution company urged that, \u201cAny customer who is currently experiencing power outage is due to a localised fault. Please call our contact centre on 0302 611611 (also available on WhatsApp) or report on our social media handles (ECGghOfficial) for immediate action to fix the outage and restore power supply.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are sorry for the inconvenience, and we wish you a happy Easter,\u201d the ECG said.<\/p>\n

Many parts of the country have experienced erratic power supply lately. This has resulted in calls for a load-shedding timetable to enable customers plan their lives.<\/p>\n

However, the ECG declined the request saying that the current challenge does not require a load management schedule.<\/p>\n

PURC to take regulatory action against ECG for not releasing load-shedding timetable<\/p>\n

Commenting on the situation, the Minister for Energy, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh agreed with the Management of ECG. He is reported to have remarked that, \u201cAsk those who want it (Load-shedding timetable) bring it.\u201d<\/p>\n
