Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Former President John Dramani Mahama on Saturday, March 30 visited and paid homage to Obomenghene Nana Effah Opinamang III, his queen mothers, and elders as part of his activities in the Kwahu area to celebrate this year\u2019s Easter.<\/b><\/p>\n

Mr Mahama said he greatly appreciated the warm welcome and gracious hospitality during his visit to the palace.<\/p>\n

He wrote on his Facebook page after the visit that the role of chiefs in national development cannot be overstated.<\/p>\n

Chiefs, he said, are the custodians of tradition, culture, and values, and they play a crucial role in promoting social cohesion and unity within their communities.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey also serve as a bridge between the government and the people, advocating for the needs and interests of their communities and contributing to the nation\u2019s development,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

\u201cOnly through the support and guidance of traditional leaders like Nana Effah Opinamang III can we truly build a stronger, more prosperous Ghana together.<\/p>\n

\u201cI look forward to continued collaboration and partnership in our shared goal of nation-building. As we celebrate Easter, may we all be reminded of the importance of unity, peace, and harmony in our communities and nation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
