Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>President of the Ghana Swimming Association, Delphina Quaye says she believes Harry Stacey could become one of the brightest swimmers for the nation in the upcoming years.<\/b><\/p>\n

Stacey made his first-ever appearance for Ghana at the 2023 African Games and finished fourth in the 100m and 50m freestyle final at the Borteyman Aquatic Center.<\/p>\n

Making four finals in his first-ever competition is a great feat for Stacey. However, Delphina Quaye insists that the youngster has a lot to learn and should he thread his journey with commitment and determination, he can achieve many great things for himself in the coming years.<\/p>\n

\u201cHarry is a newcomer. It\u2019s his first competition for the country. He has been with us for the past seven years and this was his first competition for Ghana but he has impressed. He has a long way to go but he is a medal hopeful. He just missed out on winning a medal by a few seconds. He came close so many times just like Joselle Mensah\u201d, she told 3Sports<\/b> in an exclusive interview.<\/p>\n

Ghana will have two WildCards at the 2024 Olympics in France later this year, yet the team remains focused on improving their times in order to book more slots to compete in the summer, and Harry Stacey will be one of those swimmers eyeing a place for greater glory.<\/p>\n
