Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>Communications director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Henry Asante Twum has appealed to Ghanaians to remain calm and supportive of the Black Stars\u2019 technical staff, particularly head coach Otto Addo, as they navigate through a transitional period.<\/b><\/p>\n

In an interview with Akoma FM, Henry Asante acknowledged the difficulties facing the team following their underwhelming performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations and emphasised the value of allowing Addo time to put his plans and ideas into action.<\/p>\n

\u201cGhanaians have experienced good times in the past, so when the team performs poorly, everyone is very concerned, but the team is led by a new technical team. Joseph Laumann, Joseph Panstil, and Fatawu Dauda are back behind Otto Addo. I know these are difficult times, but let\u2019s remain composed while the new team works diligently to return us to our rightful place.\u201d<\/p>\n

He expressed optimism about Ghana\u2019s prospects in the upcoming World Cup qualifiers, highlighting the expected return of injured players and the availability of key squad members. Asante Twum believes that with a fully fit squad, the Black Stars will be competitive and capable of securing positive results in the qualifiers.<\/p>\n

\u201dWe should have all of our players fully fit by the time the season ends, so I\u2019m confident that we will be in a strong position to compete very soon. Kudus, Thomas, Amartey, Djiku, Gideon Mensah, and all of our key players are fit and healthy.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m pleased for Inaki Williams, who won his first trophy with Athletic Bilbao over the weekend. It\u2019s great for his self-confidence and mental health, and hopefully he can carry that over to the Black Stars,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
