Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>A private legal practitioner, Martin Kpebu has said that it will be impossible for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to win the 2024 elections.<\/b><\/p>\n

He said over the past seven years, the party has supervised a gradual erosion of the economic gains of the country.<\/p>\n

Speaking on Key Points, Saturday April 13, Mr Kpebu said, \u201cIt is impossible for the NPP to win the 2024 elections. Look, Bawumia\u2019s economic thesis have fallen flat. He was touted as the one with solution to our economic problems. How much is the price of fuel, what is the rate of inflation now?\u201d He quizzed.<\/p>\n

Mr Kpebu was contributing to discussions on the poll conducted by Global Info analytics that put former President Mahama of the NDC ahead of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia of the NPP.<\/p>\n

Survey was deployed in 82 constituencies \u2013 Musa Dankwah justifies outcome of poll that puts Mahama in the lead<\/p>\n

In the poll under reference, John Mahama leads with over 54% votes, followed by Dr Bawumia with 34%, Alan Kyerematen has a little over 7% while Nana Kwame Bediako of the New Force Movement garnered over 2% of the votes.<\/p>\n

However, critics, especially from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have played down the significance of the poll which has done between 22nd and 31st March, 2024.<\/p>\n

The Director of Communications for the NPP, Richard Ahiagbah, for instance raised concerns about the methodology used to gather data.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe value that we place on the outcome of this survey cannot be inclusive to the people of this country because the instrument itself can create problems due to people\u2019s understanding of the questions asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo therefore the answers they are giving, as to whether or not they are answering the question about the country moving in the right direction (which is relative when you translate into another language) is the issue.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor me, the premium we should put on this should not be too high,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
