Information Minister, Oppong Nkrumah and Ex-President Mahama<\/p>\n

Minister of Information, Mr. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has stated he’s very much aware that the former President, John Dramani Mahama is power-drunk and doing everything to win power.<\/p>\n

His comment comes after the NDC flagbearer criticised his predecessor, Nana Akufo-Addo for doing less about fight against corruption in the country. He accused the President for the practice of “clearing” his “corrupt” appointees.<\/p>\n

In a statement to mark the 2019 International Anti-corruption Day, he said such actions hamper investigations and must stop.<\/p>\n

Mr. Mahama said, fighting corruption requires genuine and collective efforts, particularly from political leaders.<\/p>\n

He charged all, especially those in a leadership position to \u201cmake a determined commitment to take action, lead the change and be the change in our country\u2019s fight against corruption and nepotism.\u201d<\/p>\n

To win this fight, Mr. Mahama said, the party will make no excuses.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will strengthen and make the anti-corruption agencies work without fear or favour. If we are to win the fight against corruption, the Government must stop making excuses as a coverup for the increasing cases of corruption,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

But the Ofoase-Ayerebi lawmaker reacting to the issue on Accra based Okay FM\u00a0intimated that he is very much aware that the former President is desperate for power and maybe saying these things just for his quest to win power.<\/p>\n

He said Ghanaians know and believe that the Akufo-Addo government has fought corruption more than any other government.<\/p>\n

He added that though they have been able to solve many problems he believes Ghanaians would give them the mandate for the next four (4) years to complete what they have started.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
