President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has tagged the year 2020 as the \u201cYear of Roads.\u201d\u00a0<\/strong>
\nAccording to him, his government would embark on an aggressive road development across\u00a0Ghana next year, saying\u00a0\u201cNext year is the year we will adopt as the year of roads.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Speaking at a media encounter in Accra on Friday, President Akufo-Addo said roads are critical in the development of any nation and that the development of the much-touted roads\u00a0under the previous administration was untrue.<\/p>\n

Casting doubt once again over claims by his predecessor, John Dramani Mahama and the government he led, that he undertook an unprecedented number of infrastructure development\u00a0Nana Addo said during his recent tour of the country, a common plea of the people particularly chiefs everywhere he went, was for him to build their roads.<\/p>\n

President Akufo-Addo said it is this same issue he questioned the then government about and was told he might have been sleeping if he was not seeing the roads, asking \u201cwhere are the so called unprecedented infrastructure projects,\u201d and that it could not have been true.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
