Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>The Director of Communications of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Richard Ahiagbah, has said the flagbearer of the NPP, Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia will utilise the nation\u2019s mineral resource, gold, to shore up the strength of the Cedi should he be elected president this year.<\/b><\/p>\n

Mr Ahiagbah says the depreciation of the Cedi will be a thing of the past under a Bawumia administration.<\/p>\n

\u201cBe Bold with Bawumia. He will use our gold to back the cedi to make it stable. This is a Bold solution to stabilize the cedi. Depreciation will be a thing of the past because the cedi will be sufficiently stable under Bawumia.<\/p>\n

\u201cI pledge to be bold with Bawumia. Have you?\u201d he wrote on his X platform on Tuesday, April 16.<\/p>\n

Mr Ahiagbah further called on Ghanaians to reject the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and their flagbearer former President John Dramani Mahama.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet\u2019s take a bold step towards progress with Bawumia as our leader. Let\u2019s reject any idea of regression and embrace the promise of sustainable economic growth, employment opportunities, and expedited development.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith Bawumia at the helm, Ghana can strive towards a brighter future. It\u2019s Possible. Stay away from the NDC that offers nothing but fear in the guise of improvement. Let\u2019s not be deceived. Instead, let\u2019s vote for Bawumia and the NPP, the team that can genuinely deliver on their promises. It\u2019s Possible,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
