Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>Wilson Arthur, the owner of Skyy FC, has revealed his impending departure from club football due to referees\u2019 lack of honesty towards his team.<\/b><\/p>\n

In an interview with Akoma FM, Arthur disclosed that around eight referees have been dishonest with his team during their recent matches. He pointed out a series of contentious decisions that have unfairly favored their opponents, prompting his decision to consider leaving the club football scene.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter 22 games in Division One, I can say that approximately eight referees came specifically to sabotage my team. Everything about the way they officiated the game suggested that the referee was there to hurt me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mr. Arthur went on to say that he would prefer to look elsewhere and that his interest in funding club football is waning.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m unable to make investments or start club football again because I will undoubtedly be cheated in the end. Other people like Tony Yeboah and Kessben have experienced this, and they both quit due to the referees\u2019 deceit.\u201d<\/p>\n

Arthur, who also serves as the MTN FA Cup Chairman, continued by saying that he has formally complained to the association but has received no response, which has made him felt as though he is not welcome in club football.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlthough I formally complained to the FA, but received no response. My iPad was destroyed and my coach was beaten by Holy Stars. It was more like a war against Sefwi All Stars.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve realized that funding club football will not benefit me going forward, rather, it feels like I\u2019m not welcome there, so I need to find something else to do.\u201d<\/p>\n

With 34 points, Skyy FC is presently ranked sixth in Zone 2 of the Division One league with slim hopes of making it to the top-flight league despite aiming to gain promotion due to last season\u2019s narrow miss.<\/p>\n
