Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>One of the popular Ghanaian socialite twins, the Mitch brothers was arrested over the weekend during the Porials Pitch event organised by Snapchat Influencer Dulcie Boateng.<\/b><\/p>\n

Porials Pitch, a sales exhibition event was organized by Dulcie Boateng on Saturday, April 20, 2023 at the Accra Mall and saw a huge attendance with many Ghanaians trouping in to purchase different products.<\/p>\n

According to reports by ameyawdebrah.com, the heavily attended Porials Pitch event was fraught with distraction from the police.<\/p>\n

The police apprehended Nana Mitch and others for allegedly selling products which had not been registered and approved by the Foods and Drugs Authority (FDA).<\/p>\n

Per reports the arrest occurred after Ghanaian investigative journalist Akwasi Koranteng together with officials of the Pharmacy Council, Ghana (PCG) and the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA), conducted a raid to assess the legality and safety of the products that were sold at the exhibition.<\/p>\n

Nana Mitch is alleged to be vending \u201cS:13 by MB,\u201d a lip gloss suspected to be imported from China, without approval from the FDA.<\/p>\n

13 people were apprehended on the noon of the day of the event for the sales of unapproved products. They have all been granted bail pending investigations by authorities.<\/p>\n

The FDA has for a number of times cautioned Ghanaians against the use and sale of unapproved products.<\/p>\n

The Authority has in the past also urged Ghanaians to comply with the regulatory standards underlined by the FDA.<\/p>\n

The arrest of these persons must serve as a wake-up call to Ghanaian influencers to be weary of which products to advertise and market especially with much attention to regulatory standards.<\/p>\n
