Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>Deputy Director of Communication for the Movement for Change (M4C), Courage Nobi, has articulated the Movement\u2019s perspective on the departure of Alfred Kumi and other members from the party.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to him, they are more concerned about revolutionary change, thus have prioritized the nation over political affiliations.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you decide to do the unprecedented, revolutionary acts like the Movement for Change founded and led by Alan Kyerematen is seeking to do, you need people of a certain mettle,\u201d Nobi stated, echoing the sentiments of the Movement\u2019s ethos.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was the last Dr. Kwame Nkrumah who said that revolutions are brought about by men, men who think as men of actions and act as men of thought,\u201d he said in an interview with Johnnie Hughes on 3FM Sunrise Morning Show on April 23.<\/p>\n

Nobi acknowledged the departure of certain members, describing it as a natural consequence of their ambitious agenda. \u201cSo we knew at all points that when the heat gets on, some weaklings among us will fall,\u201d he said. \u201cBut you know, the weakest point of an army is its weakling, so when you have a glorious situation where weaklings begin to fall off, you can only be thankful to God.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Deputy Communications Director reiterated the Movement\u2019s commitment to its cause, emphasizing that they prioritize Ghana\u2019s interests above all else. \u201cWhen the Movement for Change set out, we did not set out to work for a party, in fact, we left the party to work for the nation,\u201d Nobi affirmed. \u201cIf he finds that loyalty to the party is more important to him than loyalty to the nation, certainly he was in the wrong group.\u201d<\/p>\n

Regarding Alfred Kumi\u2019s departure, Nobi viewed it as a positive development for the movement. \u201cFor me, it is actually good for the Movement. Politics is a game of numbers, not of weaklings,\u201d he asserted. \u201cWe want numbers that will matter, we want strength because we want to upset a status quo that has been in place for 32 years. You cannot do that with weaklings.\u201d<\/p>\n

Furthermore, Nobi addressed allegations of attempts to undermine the Movement, claiming that there have been efforts to bribe members back into the fold of the NPP.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have been aware for almost three months now that they have set out to literally bribe some of our people back into the fold of the NPP,\u201d he disclosed.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey set out to literally buy back people, you know, bribe people into coming back to the NPP just to create a narrative as though this Movement thing is not really well,\u201d Nobi alleged.<\/p>\n
