As part of efforts to transform the signwriting industry to become a viable sector in Ghana\u00a0and West Africa, Seloart, a Ghanaian-owned sign making company has opened a state-of-the-art sign\u00a0making\u00a0factory at Pokuase\u00a0in Accra.<\/p>\n
The company, which is a key player in\u00a0the signwriting industry, has also\u00a0inaugurated its Corporate Head Office at Pokuase\u00a0to boost its engagements with clients.<\/p>\n
The sign factory houses five different technologies namely the CNC, Laser cut and engraving, letter forming, Chanel Bending and Large format digital printing systems\u00a0capable of processing over 30 different applications.<\/p>\n
Both\u00a0facilities, situated in the same\u00a0compound,\u00a0were officially inaugurated\u00a0today.<\/p>\n
Rationale<\/p>\n
Speaking at the ceremony, the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Seloart, Mr Selorm Betepe\u00a0described the edifice as a big deal to the growth of the Seloart Group.<\/p>\n
He explained that the\u00a0facility was to enable the company\u00a0to\u00a0advance its operations in line with its vision of becoming the preferred sign company in Ghana and beyond.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn 2009, we decided\u00a0to\u00a0take our production to another level and that required us to build a state of the art sign centre fitted with the relevant technology to enable us to meet demand as well as achieve our goal of becoming the signage manufacturing company of choice.<\/p>\n
Ten years down the line, this is where we are today; from road signwriters to sign makers,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Mr Betepe\u00a0added that \u201cour decision to do this is to increase the fortunes of The Seloart Group. We are in business to make profit and also as part of our safety regulations, provide a conducive working environment for our team.\u201d<\/p>\n
Game\u00a0Changer<\/p>\n
Touting the efficiency of its newly installed\u00a0equipment, Mr Betepe revealed that the company could now assemble not less than 20 signs at ago.<\/p>\n
He described it\u00a0a milestone\u00a0and\u00a0a major improvement,\u00a0as\u00a0his company could in the past,\u00a0assemble one sign at a time.<\/p>\n
Mr Betepe\u00a0gave\u00a0the\u00a0assurance that the opening of the facility will not affect operations in any of its branches in other locations.<\/p>\n
\u201cI wish to assure our clients that our Achimota and Kwabenya branches are still opened. You can still order your prints and signs\u00a0at any of our branches,\u201d he assured.<\/p>\n
He stressed that the company would not relent in its commitment to transform the signwriting industry, revealing that\u00a0\u201cplans are far advanced to add additional 600 Sqm state of the art steel fabrication plant nearby and we hope to see that facility also operational by end of the year 2021.\u201d<\/p>\n
In that regard, he urged players in the industry to embrace technology and improve on their skills to enable them\u00a0to sustain\u00a0their relevance in the\u00a0industry\u00a0as well as\u00a0create opportunities for others.<\/p>\n
For his part, a former Board Chairman of the Seloart Group,\u00a0Rev. Ammisshaddai Dei Awuku\u00a0commended the management of the company for achieving the milestone and urged them to persist in their efforts to reshape the signwriting industry.<\/p>\n
