Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>Kingsley Amoakwa-Boadu, a private legal practitioner and a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) communication team, has observed that President Nana Akufo-Addo did not say the erratic power supply (Dumsor) is over.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to him, the President extended his appreciation to Ghanaians for their patience in the ongoing power crisis.<\/p>\n

Contributing to the discussions on the recent power outages in parts of Ghana on The Key Points<\/b>, the NPP communicator maintained that the government admits that there are power supply challenges.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe President extended his heartfelt gratitude to Ghanaians for their patience and understanding during recent temporary challenge. It does not mean that we do not admit that there are no challenges.<\/p>\n

\u201cIndeed, even before there was a dumsor, there are instances where it rains and there is a power outage and so you cannot say that he said something and if there is some power outage then there is dumsor,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n

President Akufo-Addo, while addressing workers on Wednesday during the May Day celebrations, underscored that the unfortunate era of dumsor will not return.<\/p>\n

This, according to the president, follows the completion of maintenance work on ECG\u2019s faulty transformers.<\/p>\n

\u201cIssues surrounding the maintenance of the transformers have been resolved, Indeed, we have witnessed stable power supply across the country with no load shedding reported anywhere yesterday…I am confident that the unfortunate era of dumsor will not return,\u201d the President stated.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, Kingsley Amoakwa-Boadu, elaborating on the President\u2019s remarks, noted that the government has put measures in place to tackle any reoccurrence of a power crisis in the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe said we will not return to dumsor,\u201d Amoakwa-Boadu stated.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen it comes to power outages, people experience it themselves. When he\u2019s saying that we will not return, it means that we have taken steps to solve it. It does not mean that in your locality, you may not experience dumsor,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
