Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>The New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate for Ablekuma South in the Greater Accra Region, Samuel Sarbah Lartey (aka Teacher Agoe) has vowed to unseat Alfred Okoe Vanderpuije in the upcoming 2024 parliamentary election.<\/b><\/p>\n

He is poised and very positive to oust the former Mayor of Accra, who is the Ablekuma South parliamentary candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), come December 7.<\/p>\n

Presidential candidates for the various political parties, Independent presidential aspirants, parliamentary candidates and all stakeholders have stepped up preparations towards the December 7, 2024 polls.<\/p>\n

The Ablekuma South seat has been a no-go area for NPP after Fritz Baffour won the seat back for NDC in 2008 general elections.<\/p>\n

And since then, the constituency has remained a stronghold for NDC as the party keeps increasing the vote margin significantly in every election year.<\/p>\n

However, Teacher Agoe who is confident to change the narrative in the forthcoming general elections has condemned the NDC for failing to develop the area.<\/p>\n

Speaking in an interview on Onua FM Atifisem show on Saturday, 18, teacher Agoe stressed that Okoe Vanderpuije is no match for him as far as the 2024 poll is concerned since he has performed abysmally in terms of development.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlfred Okoe Vanderpuije is no match for me, and I am saying this on authority, because he has done zilch in the constituency. Our roads are bad and anytime we confront him he will say his party is not in power.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, he became the Mayor of Accra for 8 years and has been the Member of Parliament for almost 8 years with nothing to show in the area,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He touted his achievement and the fact that he has established a basic school in the constituency where most of the school children are on scholarship to assist the less privileged.<\/p>\n

Teacher Agoe wants the electorates to reflect on this gesture and the charitable things he is doing for the people in the area and vote for him so that his vision for the constituency could be accomplished.<\/p>\n
