These areas are considered the stronghold of the New Patriotic Party due to the voting pattern of the electorates who reside there during previous elections.<\/p>\n<p>However, six (6) months before the general election, the outcome of the poll indicates that a significant majority of respondents will not be influenced by the policy in exercising their franchise.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn whether the One-Student-One-tablet policy is likely to influence voters in the December election, only 31% said it will influence them to vote for the government, 64% said it will not influence them while 5% were indifferent, \u201d Global Info Analytics reported on May 31, 2024.<\/p>\n<p>The poll further revealed that the presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama has the highest votes from the constituents.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn Okaikwei Central, Okaikwei South, Anyaa Sowutuom and Trobu, where the NPP won by an average of 62% in the 2020 election, it now shows the leading opposition candidate, John Mahama leading in the polls with 40.5%.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe current vice president and flag bearer of the governing NPP, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is on 36%, Nana Kwame Bediako, the New Force with 1.8%, Alan Kyeremanten, Movement for Change with 1.7%. 10.4% of voters say they will not vote and 9.4% are undecided,\u201d the poll revealed<\/p>\n<p>In the parliamentary election, Patrick Yaw Boamah leads in Okaikwei Central with 50.5%, Baba Sadiq, 36%, 6.9% of voters do not intend to vote while 7.6% are undecided. Hon. Patrick Boamah won the seat in the 2020 election with nearly 19% margin.<\/p>\n<p>According to Global InfoAnalytics, in Okaikwei South, the incumbent member of parliament\u2019s chances of retaining her seat is hanging by the thread as poll shows the race is tied with Dakoa Newman leading with 40.4%, followed closely by Ernest Adomako, 38.5%. 10.6% are undecided and 10.5% will not vote. In the 2020 election, the incumbent won her race with nearly 22% margin.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the Anyaa Sowutuom, Elder Emmanuel Tobin leads the race with 41.8% followed by Emmanuel A. Allotey, NDC, 31.9%, Grace Ashley, Movement for Change, 2.7%, undecided, 10.1% and I will not vote, 13.5%. Hon. Dickson Adomako Kissi, the outgoing member of parliament, won the seat in the 2020 elections with nearly 30% margin,\u201d Global Info Analytics indicated.<\/p>\n<p>The Poll\u2019s outcome shows that in the Trobu constituency, where Gloria Owusu, the NPP parliamentary candidate who ousted Hon. Moses Anim, leads with 44.8%, Dr John Kofi Halm with 36.7%, others, 0.5%, undecided, 5.8% and I will not vote, 12.2%. Hon.
