Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has explained how the E-Gates initiative will work at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) when it is implemented.<\/b><\/p>\n

He said that the government will be implementing the E-Gates initiative at the KIA by the end of this year.<\/p>\n

With this initiative, passengers will not need to go to the immigration officers before entering.<\/p>\n

They will only have to put in their Ghana Card for the entrance to open to allow them to pass through, he said.<\/p>\n

Government to implement E-Gates at Kotoka Int\u2019l Airport \u2013 Bawumia<\/p>\n

The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) said this during a meeting with the clergy in Cape Coast, as part of his tour of the Central Region on Monday.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn fact, before the end of this year if you arrive in Ghana at Kotoka Airport you don\u2019t need to go to an immigration officer, we are putting together the E-gates, you put in your Ghana card it will open for you, and you pass and enter.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe E-gates will come into work in Ghana before the end of this year,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
