Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>Yingor Football Club has expressed serious concerns over the final standings of the 2023\/2024 Volta Regional Division Two League, calling for transparency from the Volta Regional Football Association (VRFA).<\/b><\/p>\n

In a statement issued on May 29, 2024, Yingor FC alleged discrepancies in the league\u2019s final points tally and raised issues with the VRFA\u2019s handling of protest petitions. The club insists that the official standings, which determine the teams qualifying for the sub-middle league, do not reflect the actual on-field results.<\/p>\n

Yingor FC claims that despite not having any protest petitions against them, the awarding of protest points to other teams unfairly altered their rightful second-place finish in the Southern Sector B Zone A to a third-place standing.<\/p>\n

The club criticized the VRFA for not adhering to previous seasons\u2019 practices of publishing protest petitions and disciplinary committee rulings. This lack of transparency has made it difficult for clubs to verify the accuracy of the league standings, raising serious concerns about the competition\u2019s integrity.<\/p>\n

In response to these issues, Yingor FC has officially requested the VRFA to publish within three days the following information:<\/p>\n

The club\u2019s demand for transparency aims to ensure fairness and integrity in the league\u2019s administration, emphasizing the importance of clear and open communication from the VRFA.<\/p>\n

The outcome of this issue will be closely watched by other clubs and stakeholders within the Volta Regional Division Two League, as it highlights broader concerns about governance and transparency in regional football competitions.<\/p>\n
