Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>An Accra High Court hearing the financial loss suit against former Deputy Finance Minister, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson and a businessman, Richard Jakpa has dismissed applications including an order of mistrial and stay of proceedings filed by the accused persons in the matter.<\/b><\/p>\n

The accused persons had presented an audio recording purporting the Attorney-General allegedly coaching the third accused Richard Jakpa to help implicate the Minority Leader Ato Forson.<\/p>\n

Presiding judge Justice Afia Serwah Asare-Botwe who dismissed the application however, advised the Attorney-General to recuse himself from the prosecution going forward in order to protect the judicial process and gain the confidence of the public.<\/p>\n
