However, some are also advocating for a more permanent solution to the challenge, ensuring a long-term improvement in road conditions and user experience.<\/p>\n

The over five-kilometer stretch from Mpentsin junction to Eshiem road is a critical component of the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis\u2019s transportation infrastructure, connecting the city center to outlying communities.<\/p>\n

This vital road enables easy access to markets, industrial zones, and commercial centers, driving local economic growth and development.<\/p>\n

By facilitating the efficient movement of people and goods, the Eshiem road has become a crucial conduit for economic activity, underscoring its importance to the community\u2019s prosperity.<\/p>\n

However, the road\u2019s deplorable condition has sparked over six separate demonstrations in the last three years, prompted by the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly\u2019s perceived inaction. Despite numerous promises to address the issue, little progress has been made, leading to frustration among residents.<\/p>\n

The demonstrations have been fueled by the Assembly\u2019s apparent nonchalance towards residents\u2019 concerns, with promises of repair often being made solely to disperse protesters and restore traffic flow for industrial transport.<\/p>\n

Fortunately, Professor Dr. Grace Ayensu Danquah, the NDC parliamentary candidate for Essikado Ketan Constituency, has brought much-needed relief to residents by initiating the reshaping of the road.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Mpintsin Junction to Eshiem Road is a lifeline for us, linking our community to Manso and beyond. Dr. Grace\u2019s initiative to reshape it is a game-changer. We\u2019ve endured immense hardship due to the road\u2019s poor condition, including miscarriages and exorbitant transportation costs.<\/p>\n

As traders, we\u2019re forced to walk long distances to access transportation. Dr. Grace\u2019s efforts will alleviate our suffering and secure our votes.\u201d They lamented.<\/p>\n

Her prompt response to the community\u2019s pleas has made a significant difference, improving the road\u2019s condition and ensuring a safer and more convenient travel experience for all users.<\/p>\n

Emmanuel Dela Jafaro is NDC deputy communications officer for Essikado Ketan constituency stated that, \u201cThe Mpintsin Junction to Eshiem Road has been a constant burden and headache for us, the indigenes of Essikado Ketan constituency. We wholeheartedly welcome Dr. Grace Ayensu Danquah\u2019s bold initiative to reshape this critical road. Notably, she has already connected many of our communities within the constituency by constructing roads where none existed.<\/p>\n

In contrast, Joe Ghartey, despite being our parliamentary representative for twenty years, has failed to deliver such tangible development projects. It\u2019s time to bid farewell to the NPP era and embrace a development-oriented approach, which Dr. Grace embodies.\u201d<\/p>\n

While some residents welcome this temporary solution, others are advocating for a more permanent fix.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe reshaping of the road is a welcome relief, but we urge for a more permanent fix. The heavy truck traffic on this road means that the current solution will likely deteriorate within a month. We need a robust and sustainable solution to ensure the road remains safe and accessible for all users.\u201d<\/p>\n
