Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>Accra Hearts of Oak goalkeeper, Benjamin Asare, has expressed excitement after extending his stay at the club, claiming that his image has been lifted.<\/b><\/p>\n

The number one Black Stars shot stopper on Thursday, April 10, 2025, signed a two-year contract extension that will keep him at the Phobian club until 2027.<\/p>\n

After signing the contract, goalie Asare was appreciative for the opportunity afforded him at the club and praised management for the confidence reposed in him.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel really excited to have been given the opportunity to play for one of the biggest football clubs in the world. Hearts of Oak has lifted my image, and the only way to repay the confidence they have shown me is to extend my contract, play my heart out for the team and contribute positively and work for success for this team.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will urge my teammates to remain focused and give their all to continue to work for the success of the team,\u201d goalkeeper Asare said in a club statement.<\/p>\n

Togbe Afede XIV, the Executive Board Chairman of Hearts of Oak, praised Asare for his positive attitude both on and off the pitch.<\/p>\n

He praised the goalkeeper\u2019s leadership qualities and general contribution to the team while urging him to continue to contribute to the team\u2019s success for the rest of the season.<\/p>\n

Asare has been one of the best goalkeepers in this season\u2019s league and has kept more clean sheets than any other keeper since joining Hearts of Oak from Great Olympics last season.<\/p>\n
